BC ended the day with 10 District Champion and advance 11 to Regions. BC should be the # 1 team in the state they wrestled hurt every week until the last week of january. They lost to SouthPlainfield 1st match of the season by 9 with 2 starters out and 1 kid getting hurt, lost to Southern (ranked#4 at the time) by 1-point with 5 starters out, lost to Brick Memorial (ranked # 5at the time) by 5-points with 5 starters out. fINALLY the team gets a full line-up together and beat the # 2 team in the State and wins there 7th team state championship. Right now this very moment the best team in the state of New Jersey is BC. Again lets see if SP would compete or com close to winning against (southern or brick) with 5 starters out. take 3 kids out of SP line up and see if they would come close to winning vs BC
South Plainfield is made up of kids from South Plainfield and nowhere else. You Catholic school fans have no shame. Form your own private school leagues and keep to yourselves. So sick of all of the Bergen Catholic, Delbarton, Don Bosco talk. Once a private school has created a reputation as being good in a certain sport they get so many new recruits who are looking to gain an edge for college recruiting purposes. Public schools cannot compete because they use only home grown talent. Can you imagine the NY Giants using only players from NY. How far would they get against the rest of the NFL? Stupid. Keep your mouth shut and be happy that the NJSIAA is still stupid enough to let the private schools have this ridiculous advantage over public schools. Finally, Bergen Catholic could NEVER put up a top 10 team if they used only kids from Paramus, where they are located.
....Take back what I said about the Paramus area....just thought about it and Paramus loses a ton of great talent to Bergen Catholic and Don Bosco. Think of all of the great Paramus High School teams that would have been without these private schools!!! Remember the days of Bill Savage and State Champ Neal Hanley
